After growing up in Sea Pines, Jake attended The Episcopal High School in Washington, DC. He then studied international affairs at Wake Forest University, double minoring in history and entrepreneurship, and was published in West Point’s undergraduate history journal for a paper on Russian military reforms written shortly after the 2014 conflict began. After undergrad, Jake returned to the nation’s capital, briefly contracting in the Pentagon for HQMC before joining a boutique consultancy where he advised asset managers and multinationals on sanctions, defense, tech, the Trump Admin, and more. Additionally, Jake provided strategic guidance to the C-suite level and assisted in formulating government affairs strategies touching a range of issues. While in Washington, he also earned a certificate from Harvard in cyber risk management. When the pandemic hit, Jake escaped the city and returned home in what would become a permanent relocation, joining Bob and the CCF Team. Now an avid boater, Jake is more than happy to take clients out on the water and experience another dimension to the beautiful island he calls home.
