THE HEART OF HILTON HEAD ISLAND
Sea Pines is the heart of Hilton Head and anchors the southern most tip of this 14-mile long barrier island. Comprised of 5,200 private acres and 5-miles of Atlantic oceanfront shoreline, tidal creeks, saltwater marshes, woodlands and a 605-acre Forest Preserve, Sea Pines is the original and largest of the Hilton Head developments. This secure, gated residential and resort community is home to 4 championship golf courses including a private country club, one of the nation’s premier tennis facilities, 15 miles of scenic bike paths, two marinas and numerous shops, restaurants and cafes. Sea Pines is also home to the RBC Heritage Golf Tournament, a favorite stop on the PGA TOUR. Sea Pines delivers a famous combination of upscale residential and seaside resort living.
Palmetto Dunes / Shelter Cove
Oceanfront Palmetto Dunes and its sister, deep water development, Shelter Cove Harbour, are centrally located in what is popularly referred to as mid-Island, equal distance between the south end of the Island – including Coligny Circle and Sea Pines – and the north end, which includes many fine shopping, dining and recreational opportunities. Palmetto Dunes and Shelter Cove Harbour are situated directly across from one another. Hilton Head’s main thoroughfare, Hwy. 278, separates the two distinct communities. Complementary shuttles are available between the two areas, transporting residents and visitors from harbour front to the beach.
525 ACRES OF EXCLUSIVE, GRAND DESIGN
Wexford Plantation is a highly acclaimed, private residential gated community located near the south end of Hilton Head off William Hilton Parkway. Launched in 1982 as one of the most exclusive neighborhoods on the Island, Wexford comprises 525 acres of grand design including 24-carat gold lettered signs, copper domed street lamps and intricate hand-laid stone bridges. The community is anchored by a multi-million dollar clubhouse and a 37-acre inland harbour which fronts Broad Creek and the Intracoastal Waterway. The award-winning harbour features lock gates and more than 4 miles of concrete partition to control tidal fluctuations. Wexford is also home to an 18-hole distinctive Arnold Palmer Signature Course, championship tennis center with six courts, and a well-manicured croquet & bocce lawn.
RESIDENTIAL LIVING WITH RESORT VACATIONING
This 800-acre development is located at the south end of Hilton Head and combines residential living with resort vacationing. With two gated entrances including one off of Pope Avenue, and another off of the island’s main artery, William Hilton Parkway (Hwy 278), Shipyard is ideally located near Hilton Head’s “downtown” area, Coligny Circle and Coligny Plaza. With 27-holes of golf separated into three distinct 9-hole courses, the world-class Van der Meer Tennis Center and miles of bike paths, Shipyard provides an excellent option for property owners desiring a smaller, secure, south end Island community.
ONE OF HILTON HEAD’S OLDEST & UNIQUE NEIGHBORHOODS
Forest Beach runs parallel to the Atlantic ocean on the southern end of Hilton Head. It’s an eclectic three-mile residential and commercial stretch comprised of the North and South Forest Beach areas. Centered at Coligny Circle, Forest Beach is one of Hilton Head’s oldest and most unique neighborhoods. Some homes and beachside bungalows were built in the 1950s and 1960s and remain as built today. The main attraction for residents and visitors to Forest Beach is the close proximity to the sea. Each lot in the area is within 600 yards of the Atlantic. While most of Hilton Head’s planned communities are gated, Forest Beach has neither gates nor private security. All of Forest Beach is within walking distance to some of the island’s original shopping, dining and entertainment establishments located in nearby Coligny Plaza.
WORLD CLASS GOLF & A PRIVATE CLUB LIFESTYLE
Small by comparison, with just over 630 acres, Long Cove is located off William Hilton Parkway, adjacent to Wexford Plantation on Hilton Head’s south end. Developed in 1981, and located along Broad Creek on the Intracoastal Waterway, the community was created to attract selective golfers seeking world-class golf and a private club lifestyle. Anchored by a Pete Dye masterpiece, the golf course spent 30 years as a Golf Digest “Top 100 Course” and is consistently ranked a top course in South Carolina. In addition to 24-hour gated security, superb golf and the 84-slip marina, Long Cove Club comprises a Tennis Center, community gardens and children’s playground, as well as year-round fishing, boating and kayaking, all within the gates.
