Harwood has been an “Islander” almost all of his life, born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He first visited Hilton Head Island in 1969, bought property in 1985, and moved here 23 years ago.

Prior to starting his real estate career, Harwood worked for Leo Burnett Advertising Company in the Puerto Rico office for 15 years, where he directed the administration and marketing for multinational accounts. He later transferred to the Buenos Aires, Argentina office, as the Managing Director, where he spent the next 10 years. He is fluent in English and Spanish.

Harwood and his wife, Susan, currently live in Harbour Town, and are members of the Sea Pines Country Club. They enjoy golf, boating, biking, and the beach.

Harwood has been a licensed South Carolina Realtor for 15 years, a member of the Hilton Head Association or Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors.
